Join Urban Bee Supplies and Carolyn Essaunce of Honest to Goodness Farm Co for a 2 day backyard queen rearing course.

Participants must have 1 full season of beekeeping, including 2 overwinters and good understanding of brood nest management.

Date: May 31st & June 1st 

Day 1 - Saturday in Classroom

from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Day 2 - Sunday In the Apiary

from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm 

Course Description: 

• theory to backyard queen rearing 
• hands on grafting sessions
• proper handling of queen cells 
• raising queen cells 
• raising mated queens 
• queen banking 
• queen caging & marking practiced on drones
• take home your cells (10 days post course)

Recommendation for Participants: 

• bring preferred beekeeping protective clothing 
• headlamp 
• eye glasses or magnifying glasses if needed
